307cc L/H dipped beam not working

Hi Everyone
I have a 2006 2.0l petrol version of this model and recently the l/h dipped beam stopped working. I fitted a new bulb but it didn't work. I measured 2.24V at the manky looking plug so ordered a new plug online. (I have an H1 bulb not H7 incidentally). I cut out the old plug this morning and thought I'd test the voltage against the stripped wires and I'm still only getting 2.24V from the wires supplying the dipped beam bulb.
I'm trying to work out if the problem is with the supply voltage in the multi-pin plug connected to the headlamp unit or an internal wiring issue inside the light unit itself. I was thinking if I could get a wiring diagram I could test the supply pins on the connector - if I knew which ones controlled the dipped beam! I understand I need to remove the bumper to take the headlight unit out to inspect the wiring but would rather avoid that if the issue turns out to be in the plug. :)
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks Tony

So I've made some progress by using my multimeter and done a continuity test between the pins to establish pin 1 is the positive supply to the dipped beam and pin 2 is the negative. However when I turn the headlights on and measure the voltage between those two pins it's reading -1.49V. There must be something more going on??

Thanks RedSector that's exactly the detail I need! I've found 2610 the multi-pin connector and wire 2701 on your diagram goes to pin 1 via fuse F17 and wire 261T goes to pin 2 which correspond to my multimeter tests this morning. Apologies if this is a silly question but I guess I'm trying to test the resistance of lead 2701 and 261T? I know where they terminate in the connector 2610 9V NR but I'm not sure where the other end is on the plug 28V MR into the fuse board? Those plug sockets aren't numbered as far as I can see?

Morning guys! I've just had time to look at the car and I'm stuck. I was planning to measure continuity and resistance on wire number 2701 and 261T - the positive and negative to L/H dipped beam. Looking at RedSector's diagrams, those leads come from pins 25 and 12 respectively in the plug numbered 28V MR which in reference to the connection from the battery from 01 CBP is the right hand of the three connectors looking from the front of the car into the engine bay. I'm not getting any continuity and no resistance reading. I'm doing this with everything turned off on the car. Am I missing something?
