300Nm Rear wheel hub nut torque?

Just done rear discs and note that the Haynes book of lies states 300Nm for the hub nuts on the rear. The largest torque wrench I have only goes to 210, but the actual purchase I have on the low profile nut has left me doing it to 'as tight as I can' but it's not hit 210Nm.

Is 300Nm actually for real?

My long since departed LR Defender was only 90Nm (though that admittedly is a two nut affair).

Surely damn tight with a locking nut is enough?

Okay, thanks. I'll stick with as tight as I can do it. I'm not in the habit of tightening up with extension bars on something I may want to remove in the future. I can't see it's going to fall off.
