I wanted to run android auto, but after a few days of trying and testing many usb cables, the application failed to start, it always shows the same error - no medium content on the usb key ... System version 076A. I had an appointment with a Peugeot dealer and he told me that I only had a radio without GPS and that he would not start the android auto application, he added that if I want it all, I have to pay £ 500. At that price point, the cheaper option (assuming you can fit yourself) would be to buy an Android head unit (with Android + iPhone wireless Auto) from AliExpress and put that in place of the existing one.
Another option might be try eBay for the upgraded head unit from a wrecker / parts recycler.

This means your car comes with a RCC System WITHOUT Carplay or Android Auto. There is no possible way of activating it at all. The only option you have is to change the headunit into another RCC with Carplay and Android Auto. I do not know what solution your dealer offered to you but I can help you with that
