207 - Wiring Loom Issues

Hi All,

My brother in law is after a new wiring loom as he has been told by our local garage that he needs the engine harness, now to me it sounds like that part of the loom requires cutting off and replacing his old and apparently knackered one, but Peugeot want to charge £400 just for the loom as it is a one piece part.....

Basically I wondered if anyone on here knows where I might be able to go online to find an alternative supplier, as the local scrappies to him and where I work have nothing in that matches.....

Engine code, in case it helps is: KFU and it is the 1.4 sport I think, 16 valve.

I may need to post in wanted sections too, or technical help sections, but thought i'd try here in case you'd had any experience with this.

Thanks

Yes, I have, the car is currently sat at the auto electricians down the road and won't drive....Been there 3 weeks and they said they can only repair it with the part of the loom they need for the engine bay. To me that sounds like they will splice the connector from the 'new' loom to the old one and hope for the best....

I am not sure which part exactly, but based off the info they provided him it sounds like a plug issue. All they have said is they need the wiring harness (not loom, but what else would it be?) for the engine bay, and any we have found on the Bay they have dismissed!

Really starting to annoy me now, as he is using my car each day, and it has been 3 weeks......They just can't find one themselves!
