If it's anything like the 307 its a metal strap that is part of the back box and not available separately.

Found only one on Ebay:

which makes me think its not a standard part.

 

Yeah - that's exactly what I need. It's eroded right at the base of where the bolts go, right on the bend. I'll double check it's the right part first. Cheers.

 

I'd check the prices for a new back box on Euro Car Parts or Carparts4less, I reckon you could get one for that price.

How difficult is it to change a rear box ? I'm mechanically retarded. How long will it take ? What's required ( tools etc ) ??

 

Just realised the above does not include fittings, so presumably I will need the ebay metal clamp anyway ???

 

I've not seen a picture but when I changed mine it did come with everything you need (bar exhaust paste).

WD40 the clamp which connects to the centre section
Unbolt clamp
Lift back box off two mounts
Inspect mounts and replace if necessary
Re-hang new exhaust on mounts
Put a bit of exhaust paste on the end which connects to the centre section
Re-attach clamp

 

The rear box and centre section was all one part on my 207. Since I did not want to start hacking it about to fit a cheap aftermarket back box, I bought one of those ebay brackets. Well made product and really quick and easy to fit.

I had this same problem - the support bracket for the back box had rusted through and snapped.

I went to Kwik-fit and they said I had to replace the whole system (its all one piece from manifold to tailpipe) for £745.

So I got onto Clampco UK - Automotive Workshop Supplies & Consumables and bought a replacement clamp for £10 (reference MB7) and got a local garage to fit it for £24.

Job done! No need to get it tack welded to the box itself.
