Evening, I've a 2007 307 136Hdi, the rear view mirror wobbles about.

It has the same fitting and problem my old Laguna had - namely it's a friction fitting which works loose and when you shove back in place it gradually works loose again over time.

Are there any fixes for this annoying problem? It fell off round a roundabout the other week.

If it's the type with auto wipers then I use a plastic hammer to tap it home you can push it but until you hear it click it's not fitted correctly I have seem them worn and damaged in the past also. If you do this go lightly one side then the other as it's easy to knock the mirror boss off the glass until you get a feel for them post a picture if you can

Hmm, I gave it a shove the other day and the plastic case fell off - it's two halves. I'll check if it's a "click" fit, there should be a barb to do that.
I do have automatic wipers.
An excuse to buy another tool, I reckon my hide/copper mallet is too hefty for that.
Thanks for the tip.
