Hi guys,

so i noticed a new problem with my 407. When i tried to roll back up the passanger window, it would go about 3/4 of a way up, and then slow down, motor would start struggling like there is an obstacle in its way and anti pinch system would kick in and it would reverse to open around 3/4 of a way down.

Now i noticed when i close the window bit by bit in small increments, it closes, but thats just a pain in the ass. Another thing i notices is that when i close the window, it would get misaligned a bit and kinda rotate counter-clockwise to reveal its top right corner. If i intervene and push it back into place with my hand, it will actually continue to go up and close completely.

So i guess the window reg. is gone. But now im curious if there is anything i can do to fix this myself or do i need to get new reg.?

Cheers,
Iva

I would think its the motor, as the window glass can't really move once its fitted. I've removed mine when replacing a window seal, and the glass is actually screwed into the arm in the door. The motor makes it move, but once screwed in, the glass doesn't move in this holder.
If its this, you should be able to fix it yourself :thumb:

Thanks for the tip mate, but from what i saw when i took off the door trim, when the glass slides up, the glass holder actualy tilts a bit on that rail. Almost as if that plastic part is worn out. Ill make a video tomorow arvo and post it for you guys :)

Thanks trem, i tried today to lube up the what-cha-ma-call-it trim into which window slides into when closed, and that did infact help solve the problem for a bit, but i used motor oil from my scooter as i dont have any silicone spray atm :D

Tomorrow ill get some proper spray and try that too.
