Why do you want to heat your cigarettes :)










Only kidding i would not want to load the cigar lighter that much as the wires going to it are not that thick and could oerheat

Yep, the high current of the cig lighter itself isn't running continuously but only while the lighter is heating up, and wires can take much more current for a short period of time compared to what they can handle continuously.

I'd consider a fuse tap to create a new fused circuit for this. Also allows for thicker and shorter wiring making the heater more efficient due to less voltage drop.

I think it's a 15A fuse on the cigar lighter socket, but the wiring is thin, so not an ideal setup.
Are you sure?

I have a Peugeot 308 Handbook and on page 199, it shows the 'Front 12 V socket' as having a 30 A rating (fuse F9).
