Hi all my car is making a loud vibrating rumbling/ rubbing noise under load, only when going forward its quiet in reverse! - doesnt make a noise when up on axle stands. I have a donor 307 so I have changed the shocks put grease on the anti roll bushes, both front hubs and driveshafts and changed gearbox and lower arms, discs and pads, didnt change caliper. engine mounts seem ok rear hubs seem ok. havent looked at rear suspension, if the clutch or flywheel was bad it would do it in reverse or revving idle?. cars a 90hp 307 hdi single mass flywheel.
seems to be under heavy acceleration, i can build up reves slowly to any rpm with no noise, blip the pedal and its rumbling.

engine mounts

problem sorted, I changed both top engine mounts.
It was weird that the noise began after I fitted new tires, I was convinced it was drive-shafts or bearings as the vibrating/ rumbling was loud.:thumb:
