I have changed my engine oil 2 times now during the year. I have used 10-W40 Bizol oil in both times. The level of oil was always decreasing without any sign of a leak, or smoke from the exhaust system. And I have always refilled the lost quantity (about 0.5 liter each about 2 weeks).

I have installed a new engine head, and an engine head gasket, because we thought the problem will be solved.

On Thursday I have checked the oil level and it was about to reach the low level on the dip stick. So I add half a liter (again) but I used cheaper light oil (I am done losing expensive oil). The car became much better, sounds are all better, and it is running much smoother now.

Could my problem be that the oil isn't compatible for my car engine?.

A lot of manufacturers state in their owners manuals that using oil is normal and should be topped up as and when required. Yep, keep topping up can cost some money BUT a whole lot less than the potential cost of a new engine as a result of using the wrong oil for the engine.
