Ok in my haste and on my return from work with a trusty can of contact cleaner in my hand I popped off the rear wiper/trip section to clean. (hopefully solve a randomly activating wipe issue)

I was being gentle but alas I've pulled out the 3 wire connector out of its socket somewhere in the bowels of the unit.

Can anyone shed a light on how I can reconnect - I imagine I may need to split the unit but any advice would be welcome.

Is it the ribbon that you've pulled out?

If so, you'd need to remove the unit and dismantle it in order to reconnect it.

Dismantling the unit is very fiddly and you do run the risk of damaging it beyond repair but the alternative is to replace the unit so if you're patient it's probably worth a try.

If you do try and fix it, make sure the wheels are centered before removal and tape the air bag ribbon in place the minute the unit is removed otherwise you'll probably lose its position and break the ribbon.

Also the indicator self cancelling function can be lost upon re-assembly so have a good look at it to ensure that it's going back together correctly.

Not a ribbon as such but a collection of three red wires with a plug at the end.
