Hi

As above i bought a 307sw 1.6 HDI which was self diagnosed by the previous owner with an injector seal fault,

I have bought a set of seals, and sent the car away to a garage who couldnt get the injectors out, they did notice the rocker gasket was leaking oil all around the injectors, and fitted a new one, The technician who picked up my car from the ferry terminal, and drove it the 10 miles to the garage said it didn't drive like it had an injector fault

My question is,

Is if deffo the injector seals, i have white smoke and the smell of diesel in the car ,

Im just about to get rid of the car , but in a last ditch attempt i wanted to rule out anything else that could be causing it, when my wife followed me she said there was white smoke when i accelerated hard away from her, and also when i slowed down through the gears at a junction

Many Thanks in advance

Paul

Rule of thumb :

White smoke - steam - water getting into the diesel
Black smoke - unburnt fuel

Head gasket perhaps?
