So this piece has been hanging around in my boot (407 SW 2006) for about 6 months now and I can't remember where it came from!

I changed the rear left bulb around that time, but I also probably done other stuff, I had just bought the car.

I've been trying to stick in into several places but nothing looks right!

Anyone?

yep he is right you were probably fixing the brake switch or heater and took it out but i still say bin it :)
Any particular reason for binning it?

Think I was at the pollen filter and the BSI around last November alright. I only done the brake switch and the heater flaps recently enough..

I was convinced that it came from the rear compartment for some reason, I must have spent an hour trying to stuff it in around the boot fuse box! :nono:

Its called weight reduction the more parts that fall off the faster your car goes :)
Lol!!

you can see that feet touch and rough it up, without it those feet could touch bits that it hides. i always refit mine.

i to have had to change brake light switch and cabin. which is a nightmare not much room for both.
True. Yea, mine looks like it was kicked around a bit alright! I suppose it stops mucky feet, and dust and crap, from getting up there too.

I found the filter handy enough to get out, I had to bend the shite out of it though! For the brake switch I just removed the glovebox first.
