Wondering what code readers people are using. I want one that will read the Peugeot codes (I have two that won’t) and will also deactivate and reactivate the electronic parking brake so I can replace the pads. i know you can get them for VW cars at around £60 and I was looking for the same for a Pug. What type do folks on here use?

Bosch top end ones work nicely, 20k AUD.
I am sure they do but you will see from the orig post that I am looking for something sub £100.

Of the OBD2 readers, it is often dependent on the software and only good for basic engine codes.
100% agree and that is why I asked the question hoping that someone on the forums would have some experience of them and be able to point me to one that worked.

No cheap code reader will do the job. Even expensive ones that garages use (Bosch, Autel etc) have their limitations which is why I freelance for garages when they have a Pug on the ramps.

You need this cable:

and the latest Diagbox (9) is free and will run on any modern laptop (except if running Win 11). No need for virtualisation any more.

I use an iCarsoft V3.0. Can do regens, bleed ABS, configure new components, set steering angle, all sorts. Planet is the dogs danglies, but if you want to keep it simple I can heartily recommend the V3.0.
