After purchasing mine.. it appears that the dealer made a bit of a 'oops' on the registration - and it's registered tomorrow so it wouldn't be insured/legal to drive until tomorrow..

So I have a 'curtesy car' which is the dealer's 3008SUV GT :D

So.. I'm in the unique position to answer questions about GT and Allure tonight :D

Mine:

Bonnet checked - supposedly not a problem.
Oil on paintwork mark checks - no problem so that seems to be a one of

Added a few shots - including the interior of my Allure with the leather/electric seat and LED lights option.

Interesting observations I wasn't expecting on the allure:
a) I have cruise control - although not adaptive it's there.
b) I have Sports mode - although not ordered and I assumed didn't come as standard with the EAT6..
c) It looks like the LED lights also cover the LED fog lights.
d) the leather seats have the extension lip

You can spot some minor differences with the GT.. like the small piano key switch on the left for the moods.

I'll take some additional photos of the interior of the GT later - including night shots.

Took a break for coffee and had nose around whilst it's light. The GT is a GT but without traction control.

Some observations (of course my Allure is better ;)) on the GT:

1. OMG that's not a glove box.
The fuse box takes 1/2, the perfume mechanism takes 1/2 of the remaining.. and I'm not sure if you can get your or a can of coke in the remaining glove box.
The Allure glove box doesn't have the perfume mechanism so you get some usable space!

2. You can connect to WiFi and mobile from the car - picks up my house wifi..

3. Driving the GT.. it's SOOO easy to get above the speed limit as the engine will happily maintain speed with the EAT6 when you go from 70 to 50 for example.

4. Sulks when you don't STOP (i.e. ignition on but not started) the car when you attempt to lock it it will NOT lock. You have to STOP before it will lock..

5. Tailgate with the auto open.. I'm 6'4 and open it's lower than my head. The manual one I think opens more from the quick play with mine before I had to come back. Will update tomorrow.

6. The ambience settings don't seem todo much in daylight although they can be tied into the massage, sports mode etc looking at the setup menu.

... to be continued..

Nick. Agree, glovebox is about big enough for a bag of crisps, or a small roll of gaffer tape to keep the mother in law quiet . Tailgate opening height can be adjusted and memorised using the two buttons. Not sure how to do it as there hasn't been a need, but it's in the manual.

Dear NickK-UK I'm also considering 1.6 l Allure 3008. I found following photographs and videos posted on a Youtube video indicating poor built quality of the new 3008. Can you please check the below photos and videos and confirm those claims are correct or not. I was initially thinking the build quality is great for new 3008.

Interesting - I've seen you post this exact email previous under a different user name (the user name above has one post at the time of this quote).

The demonstrator GT.. the same buttons for the Allure.. yours looks different - is this an older 3008 - it looks like someone has taken your car apart!

I agree though that the plastic can mark easily with a boot but the same is true for my Ford Focus..

I went for the standard Mistral leather seats on my Allure. I'm sorry now as I find the seat base a bit short and could have done with that lip (I'm 6ft 2). Can you adjust the angle of the seat base too? My wife is only 5ft so actually likes the shorter seat base!
Will check - remember seeing that the seat front looks like it has a lip from the quick sit in earlier. I'll have the car tomorrow morning so I can confirm.

The demonstrator GT's electric seat- you can see the effect of wear and tear on the plastic - centre console (my only concern). Also their car needs a clean lol.. obviously getting used overtime..

Look mum - no foot room :)

If I'm in the back then the only person in the driving seat will be the Mrs.. and that means the driver seat well forward which solves the problem :D

I sat in the back during the test drive, so not a problem in my circumstances :D

This is not my vehicle. I'm still considering 3008. These photos and video I found under comments given by another user. For me the photos and videos match with New 3008. I'm wondering these claims are true or falls. Nope I'm new peugeot forum user and this was my first post. Can you post the link to previous post on same issue please?

Google Translate: I bought this car now 15 days and in just two weeks of use the car is falling to bits, the forras and plastics are all coming out the site and fittings, A SHAME !!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK !!!!!
So I will keep you updated!

The GT demonstrator seems to be ok from a panels fitting POV and it's probably getting more intense use but the plastics to seem to be easily scuffed looking at them.
