Hi guys, have been lurking here for a few days reading up on the 407, looking at buying one for my wife. We test drove a 2004 Executive V6 today, and it seemed to run really well. New discs, pads, swivel joints etc. Only thing that I am concerned about is that the temperature gauge did not climb about about 65c. Ambient temperature about 18c, mix of city and freeway drive, sat at lights for a couple of minutes with airconditioner on. I checked that the gauge is working and the needle drops off when the ignition is turned off. Engine oil temperature was about 90c. Current owner said he has never seen the water temp go above about 70c.

Is this a known issue, maybe a sensor fault? I don't have access to a diagnostic computer.

Thanks
