wat is this sensor?

This "sensor" is on the front off side wheel of a 1995 306 XL I think 1.4.

What is it, how do I replace it and how much? I'm 200 miles from the car
so for now cant take a look to see how it is done.

Apparently there are no warning lights on the dash to indicate a problem.

Is it low pad warning light?

thank you in advance

Way too small to see - it's smaller than a thumbnail image but I'd take a guess at it being the ABS sensor
Thank you storeman. sorry I completely forgot about this. My daughter reminded me last night about it

hopefully this is a bigger picture.

that picture is the same size doh

How do you add pictures? The forum I use for my car uploads in a similar way but when you click the thumbnail image it opens as a much bigger picture

This forum does the same. What size pixel wise is the image you are trying to upload
original was 4128 x 2322 then twice the size but bioth 3.6mb

ithemechanic
this should be 1037 x 585

It is bigger but the forum seems to have limited it to442 x 249 and my old eyes still can't make it out. Maybe someone familiar with the 306 would know better
Just a guess as been a while since i have worked on a 306 but could only be either the brake pad wear warning light or wires for ABS sensor but if it was ABS wires i guess there would be lights on the dash..

thanks everyone for trying to help.
I did a brake test and it seemed the front offside was the only wheel that locked up so
I will go with ABS sensor.

Now its upto my daughter to decide if she wants me to change it.

I would go for brake pad wear sensor. If the wires are joined together that would be to put warning light out as old sensor was worn through.

If ABS sensor was not connect you would have a permanent ABS fault and warning light would be on
thank you alas there was a panic situation and I now no longer have the car. I will try to get access to it and look again at it but its a pretty expensive sensor
