I am going to remove my DPF this weekend to give it a wash out. I am waiting to find someone to do me a map before I can remove it.

Do I need to do anything in PP2000 after I have washed it out?

Why would you really need to tell it you've fitted a new filter?
You're washing it, the pressure sensor will sense there is less resistance, and it'll probably use longer between regens for a period of time.

I can't see the point. I see the point in telling the ecu using PP2000 when fluid tank is filled up.

Only thing you achieve by telling it you've changed the filter would probably be that the km/mile counter is reset.

Ok, never had that unblock filter message on mine, even though the filter was totally stuffed up.

But mine is a 2004 so maybe that's the reason it didn't throw a message.

I dont have a full warning yet but PP2K says it is 36% blocked and I have had the warning flash up twice and then go in the last 4 weeks.

If my memory serves me right, PP2K said 36mb differential pressure.

ANyway, it's not a major job so while I have the spanners and sockets out, I thought I would inspect and wash it.

On another not, does anyone know the capacity of the additive tank? PP2K is showing 3000ml of fluid

Well jobs all done and I can confirm, you do need to tell the car a new DPF had been fitted.

I put the car on PP2k after it was done and the DPF load had gone up from 36% to 41%!

Told the car a new one had been fitted and it went down to zero.

So its a calculated figure not a true figure.

The pressure difference went from 36mb to 3mb so that's good.

Car seems to run smoother and less tappy now as well.

The DPF wasn't that bad actually. Took 10 minutes to get clear running water and only soot in there, no eloys goop
