So after much trial and error I found the root cause of my airbag light was down to water ingress corroding two pins on the 26pin blue multiplug on my bsi. I've ordered a new replacement bsi and would appreciate some guidance on setting it up, I understand this can be done from the pp2000 replacement parts menu and I'll need the 4 key transponder security code for the keys (which I still need to source) is anything else needed please? and should I expect the mileage to reset to zero?
Thanks in advance

yes you need the pin code no the miles will not go to zero

As for a guide there is no such thing reason being different versions of planet work in slightly different ways so a guide is too hard to do as it would vary too much

Thanks how would I go about getting this pin code? Is it something that can be extracted or copied from the old bsi?

yes it can be extracted in various ways but you need software and knowledge

The other way is to ask the dealers for it

There are also various sites that will supply it from your vin for a fee
