never knew such a car existed, how many are in existance? and what are the rarity of them? reminds me of an old Golf GTI: Tried searching on google for the car, even google images and it doesn't even come up with any pictures of this specific car.

Vintage? T reg, now you are making me feel old.:veryold:
Here is the WIKI about the development of the car.
They are now very rare indeed. According to this site only 3 left on the UK roads.
According to the DVLA this car has a 954cc engine and was first registered on 01 May 1979.
Is it yours?

He is obviously a youngster :)

3 recently taxed does NOT mean only 3 left though I have 3 mk3/4 escorts that have not been taxed in years and they all still exist the figures on that site are not very accurate

Sorry I do not understand your point. I understand that all vehicles have to be either SORN or taxed. As far as I am aware there is no middle way.
The data given is either SORN or taxed. HERE
The details of all Peugeot 104s is HERE
Details about the accuracy of the data provided can be read HERE

Three are 3 x 104s and a Samba that I know of which belong to CPUK members alone. I know of one other 104 which belongs to a PSC member.

That's exactly my point chopper knows every car according to that site :)

Its simply not accurate.

Any car not sorned before a certain date is still legally allowed to stay unsorned cant be bothered looking for that date but 2 of my 3 escorts fall into that category so DO NOT show on that site.

The 104 brings back memories. When they were introduced I was a service manager for a Peugeot Dealer.Every dealer was given one on launch day,in those days there must have been about 60 dealers in the UK?.They all arrived by ferry from France, were driven in convoy around London and off to the dealers.I often had one as a company car. After a few years Peugeot introduced an uprated version, bigger engine with twin carbs and alloy wheels,it flew!!
Now I should remember? the two door coupe was called a ZS but what was my 4 door called??
I loaned my brand new 104 company car to one of our customers and this is how it was returned!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also while we are talking old Peugeot`s what is that model next to the 104?? Why do my images come out like this and have to be clicked to get bigger? when the above are really good images.

The Howmany left website states there are actually 13 104 left on the UK roads. So are you saying Chopper knows all 13 owners or the 3 classsed as GL?

The point im making is the info is not very accurate that's all there are probably much more not properly in the system that do still exist.

If you don't believe this pick any old high value car E type for example and have a look at the data the amount left will actually be increasing not decreasing as more cars are uncovered and restored thus go back on the road

Keep an eye on things like 205 GTIs and other hot hatches of the 80s over the next few years their figures will also rise.

Its a guide that's all it is the data is not very accurate my se500 escort cab is not even listed !!

That site is sheet. According to that I own the only Yamaha FZR600 3HE in the country, yet I know a geezer with 3 of them!

I am acquainted with the cars I aforementioned, yet still occasionally one sees others cropping up on ebay etc. I recently slavvered over a Samba convertible on ebay, but Woman forbade me from bidding.
