Hi, I'm in Catalonia, but anglophone.
I need a part (9221Q2--driver's window raising mechanism for left-hand drive 607).
I ordered one and it didn't fit and I had to return it.
The VIN number of my car is: VF39D4hxb92082516.
AFAIK the number only matters up to the 2. BUT all the VIN decoding sites I can find say my car is 2009 (based on the second 9 in the VIN). My car is 2002.
I have found a second-hand part from a car whose code reads: VF39D4hxg. (The vendor says this 607 is from 2004, not 2009, so the VIN decoding information is obviously wrong.)
Can anyone tell me whether the "b" vs "g" is likely to be significant? Will the part fit? Price is okay; but the ten days to deliver + ten days to send the [wrong] part back is killing me.
Can anyone recommend an ACCURATE VIN decoding source so I can verify parts?
Please!
Many thanks.
amanda
