I was going thru manual for 407 and there is a piece that states

VERY COLD CLIMATE SCREEN*
The very cold climate screen is a partial
removable cover which is clipped
onto the air intake grille to prevent the
accumulation of snow due to direct
splashes.
Once it has been fitted on your vehicle,
it is imperative that it is removed
when the ambient temperature conditions
rise above 10 °C again.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.

* According to country.

Now whereever I have mentioned this everybody is looking at me like I am crazy, and I have been googling hard but no one seems to mention such a thing.

I would just need a picture where is it clipped and how is it looks like, how much does it cover so I can manufacture it somehow, just to give a motor chance to get warmed up since I am most of the time in city driving and I do not think my 407 likes that too much
did anyone saw such a thing?
Thanks!

It's just a black piece of plastic. It was located with the spare wheel I think, or maybe it was behind one of the side covers in the trunk on mine.

Never used it though, even in -25 deg C.

@Mr Lee

Well the thing is in service box, i am not sure if my car was originally equipped with it so it might not show as part,

@B1ack__Mi16, do you have the picture of how does it looks like maybe?

Its getting super cold here, and this is the only thing that is left to do to get it tip top... except glow plugs replacement that is scheduled on Wednesday

Hm when you mention it now, since I placed that undercover it might be better when it comes to getting the temperature up, but I have no evidence. They all scared me that compressor and alternator do not like not having undercover. Which I can concur for 406.

You sure about outer radiator?

Yeah, the thermostat opens at that temperature. Before it opens the cooling fluid circulates only through the heater core heating up the interior.
