So, I've got some oil leaks from the filter housing on my 307.

The first (and more serious) leak is from where the housing meets the engine block. I see a seal kit is available for this, so will purchase and replace.

Does anyone know if I have to remove the exhaust down pipe to get access to the housing - or will an extra long spanner allow me to get the bolts out?

The second leak appears from near the oil pressure sensor. There is what looks like a blanking plate (with a hex fitting) just above the sensor and oil looks like it's leaking from here.

Is there a seal or washer that I need to replace here?

Just checked Service Box and a seal is available.

Part number: 0249 88

I'm going to remove the housing, clean it up and replace all the seals when I get time. That should sort it!

An update...

Replacing all the seals fixed the problem!

I did notice a few leaks with the new seals at first, but they cleared up after a couple of weeks. From what I read online this appears to be the norm.

The down pipe with cat. had to be removed.

Sounds tricky, but rather easy. Then you’ll have perfect access.
