Transmission fluid leaking from driveshaft? Seal Gone?

The drivers side or the passenger side? Yes, they do go after a bit, what's the mileage on yours!? If there is much oil, then be careful, you can end up seizing the gear box. Having said that, I drove several hundred miles after mine dumped a load (306 HDi mind).
Sometimes if the driveshaft has been knocked out slightly, i might have dislodged it (mine leaked as it was 5-10mm out (the driveshaft bearing had not seated properly).

It will drop out almost immediately, having said that, when mine first got refilled (after the driveshaft bearing got replaced), it was allegedly dry anyhow, although others have claimed their gearbox died within hours of losing oil. Gearbox will become notchy.

Should be able to get a new seal fitted at a garage reasonably cheaply, easier if it is the passenger side (seals are ~ÂŁ12, 1hr labour, plus oil).
