wonder if anyone with a bit of knowledge can share their thoughts on this?
new MOT regs are stating that TPM warnings will fail; but if they are disabled do you still get the error warning when you start up?
basically need to get the car sorted before new MOT laws come into play...currently have one non TPM wheel from what i can make out..was going to just swap them all out and disable the warnings...
a couple of people ive read on the 'net are stating that even though they have disabled TPM they still get the warning on startup?

When disabled properly you won't get any warnings plus tpms in mot is for new cars only.

yeah once disabled via planet, it informs the ECU not to look for them or check them so no warnings etc. :thumb: a few people on here have had the same issue, disabled them and all is well.

They need to be disabled in at least 2 ECUs, possibly 3 depending on your car

Can confirm no warnings/display or anything.... previous owner had them turned off on mine, and I never knew they were  .... got them back on now and working just as they were designed to.... they're not all bad :thumb:

mine flashes up on first ignition and then after being driven for 1 mile. the its just never shown again til next start.
not going to worry too much if its not an MOT fail though :)
not even got the bloody thing back yet anyway! LOL!

If they are truly disabled, you wouldn't get the PRESSION OK on the display on start-up... that is one of the 2/3 places to disable it :thumb:
