Toyota and Linux.........is this a big deal?.
Toyota owners to get Linux system instead of Apple CarPlay, Android Auto. Hooray?

The latter part of the article is possibly the main area of concern - I know from personal experience that Apple devices don't like Linux software and vice-versa.

How Toyota overcome that would be interesting, as no doubt they'd need to work with apple somewhere along the lines in order to be allowed to use their coding etc

Yes, I got the impression he was all for it but then started to backtrack.
Either way, I've never had the impression that motor manufacturers and communications technology were on the same page when it came to intergration.
