I noticed some of the reviews mentioned that the touch screen was a little slow to respond. Have any of you lucky folks who have taken delivery noticed this, or does it seem okay?

I've checked for an update via wifi and there seems to be none available so I think I have the latest.

When you first start, the display is "charging" which means modules are being loaded even in the background though the system display is running.

In use the system is fine, more relaxed and there is a little delay (more if you're expecting immediate like an iPhone). However it's usable and doesn't have a press, wait, wait some more, screen updates type of delay. The updates on the satnav are immediate - just to reassure people..

The only lack of feed back is when it's attempting to connect to a wifi network or example.

So the system can update over wifi? This might be a dumb question, but how does it connect to wifi....do you have to be parked near your home or another building with wifi?

Well it can connect to a wifi network (home or other), you have to setup with the password key but it can do it.

It can also connect to phones with data plans.

Not sure if it can cope with all the different security protocols, it shows 'PSK' but if you have a more secure protocol, then I think it can't connect.

Connects via bluetooth to an iPhone and can use the bluetooth phone/contacts interface (phone, streaming, mobile data profiles supported).

Connects via USB to an iPhone and can use Apple CarPlay with Siri active, it will allow access to music, phone, iMessage messages etc but although it can support streaming - I wish it could at least support FaceTime.. it NEEDS a data plan on the phone. I couldn't respond using SMS for example.

Both of the above work with voice, touch screen and steering wheel controls.

I've been taking the odd hire car while waiting for my 3008. A brand new Volvo V40 and Mercedes C Class so far. Both systems were excruciatingly slow and not a patch on the Peugeot system. So while not super quick it could be a lot worse compared to other systems on the market.
