Hello all,

I'm new to the Forum and I have a query related to the Peugeot Connected Services - specifically the Live Traffic and Speedcam contracts.

Has anyone purchased the Speedcam contract and had their Tom Tom live traffic contract extended free of charge on the Peugeot Services Store website?

A bit of background:

I bought a 308 SW 1.2 GT Line last October on a 67 plate with 3 months left on both the warranty and the Tom Tom live traffic on the Sat Nav. After reading comments on this forum (see links below) I found that if I purchased the Speedcam package (an offer of ÂŁ89 for 3 years last October), it would also extend the Tom Tom traffic contract for the same duration at no extra charge. This was on the Peugeot Connected Services Website.

This seemed like a good deal, as it turns out possibly too good as, once the warranty ran out in January, so did the Tom Tom live traffic contract with no sign of the extension until October 2023 I thought I was supposed to get. It now shows as expired on my account and I am left with a useless 3 year Speedcam contract which doesn't work without the Tom Tom traffic contract, the latter of which was more important to me anyway. Given the low mileage I do, particularly at the moment, I cannot justify the full cost of both services, particularly now it's back to full price, but would prefer this built in facility to something via the smartphone.

I emailed Peugeot asking for advice and was simply told the two contracts are always separate with no suggestion as to what to do next other than buy the Tom Tom live traffic. I sent another email (as a complaint) which prompted an email back asking for proof that I was given the Tom Tom live traffic with the Speedcam contract. Unfortunately, the Speedcam invoice does not mention the live traffic extension so I would have needed to screenshot the web page during the ordering process which obviously I didn't do.(At the time a message popped up saying it would automatically extend the Live traffic for the duration of the Speedcam contract, hence I decided to proceed and buy)

I explained all this to Peugeot but the last email back was pretty much like the first and I don't know where to take it now. The last of several emails they sent read:

"I have discussed your case with my manager and unfortunately, the procedures of contract extension happens when you purchase navigation and afterwards purchase speedcams. You have done this the other way around.

In order to benefit from both services, you will have to re-subscribe to navigation again. "

Could anyone offer advice as to what I do next, and/or confirm/show/prove that the combined deal I thought I got actually does, or did last October, exist?

Thanks in advance
Mark

Hi. Am not able to help with your specific issue (sorry) but I have a slightly similar query relating to purchasing a 3 year connected services plan that included the Tomtom Live Traffic, speed cams and danger zone alerts (paid ÂŁ115 as an offer price in November 2020).

Basically, 3 months before I sold my 308 I paid for this 3 year plan. I've now bought a 508 and have tried emailing Peugeot to see about transferring the plan from my old car to the new one since there is well over 2.5 years remaining. Am not getting much response so can anyone tell me if

a) they've done this successfully themselves?
b) they have a Peugeot contact who might respond?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I did exactly as you in December. Namely, purchased the Speedcam for 3 years and accepted the FREE TomTom Nav extension. I received an email confirming this and have just checked at https://account.services-store.peugeot.com/myaccountpeugeot/s/ to confirm both are active until 2023. Nav was previously due to expire June 2021.

I purchased the speed camera package last August when it was on offer & got the free extension of Tom Tom live services as well.

Screen shots from the My Peugeot app showing the connected services.

The NAC unit in my vehicle was already still under a 3 year free Tom Tom live subscription started in 2018.

Thank you sniktaw and Mr Lee for all your info. I feel reassured that it's not me losing the plot or making it up. I shall go back to Peugeot Customer Services again and see what they say. Anything useful or otherwise I'll report back to this discussion.

If anyone has anything else to add, it would be welcome...

Thanks again
Mark
