Just after a bit of advice i have just bought a 307 2003 2.0 petrol and i was going to change timing belt due to not knowing when it was last done but after removing cover to check belt i found a gates sticker indicating it had been changed a couple of years ago, but i have notice that the tensioner arrow is pointing upwards at 12 oclock position but i understand from the manual that it should be set at more the 3 oclock postion is this normal with wear or is the tensioner on the way out?. Thanks

I would say its more likely it was not set right to start with if the belt looks ok and the tension is good i would just leave it some people dont set them right when fitting.
