Hi all just after some advice on changing the timing belt on my 2001 307 2.0 hdi. I have found the locking point on the camshaft but am i right in saying that to lock the crankshaft i need to remove the crank pulley to get to it? Also is this the reason for locking the flywheel off too, to remove the bolt & pulley without disturbing anything then i can remove the flywheel locking tool and turn the engine clockwise until the camshaft & crankshaft holes line up? Thanks.

No 2.0 HDI locking pin hole is behind starter motor. A good tip from Reliable a few years ago was to buy a junior hacksaw and with a bit of bending you can make it in to a tool to slip in behind starter to lock flywheel
