Right I've had a look at the connector on mine the map sensor and throttle sensor wiring is the same.

The trouble is my car seems to have 2 throttle sensors for some reason to allow a bypass of the intercooler

It seems like the original 1.6hdi had a single unit then they brought out this stupid double unit and now hVe gone back to the old setup

Question is as long as ones working will I have any issues or lights

If it's there to aid dpf regen then it's no issue as I don't have one

I can quite easily make the rest of the pipe work up or buy a pipe from the scrappy

Its not really a throttle and the oil is leaking from being blown round the intake you need to find the source of the oil then the leak will stop

So would the other style fit ok?

I've had the unit off twice everything tight can't find anything

On looking online this unit seems to have a history of leaking

The unit around the edges doesn't look great so gather that's where it's coming from

Before and after

Have a fault code of throttle sensor voltage low I used the first cable which threw the management light the second one that was connected to the tps on the old one works but has fault codes no lights as yet

Car seems to drive good

I used the top hose with the throttle body as it's smaller

I also took the bracket off the bottom of the throttle body as it's different

Any idea about these 2 faults ?

The twin doser I had 2 tps when I connected number 1 it threw the management light on

On the second cable plugged in to the main tps the faults stayed the same but no light

Have checked on planet and it shows the throttle working ok

When I drive the car it feels as normal except these faults

When resting the connectors I get a healthy 12v on one pin and 3.52v on the first connector and 3.54v on the second unit

I sure there meant to be 5 but what does the voltage actually do in the tps

Always shows on the stater motor circuit as well

The fault comes straight back on

What you are calling the Throttle position sensor is not really that Diesels dont have a throttle !

The Valves in the part you are calling the throttle body are simply used by the ecu to control airflow through the intercooler or not based on engine temp and load.

As i said earlier the oil leak is coming through the pipework and this is coming from somewhere else not the valve assembly

Thanks make sense now so if I have no lights I can just use as is?

First day with it and not one spec of oil let's hope it lasts

The pipe connection at the top is the intercooler bypass it goes straight into intake its just a different style of the same thing

What about my setup now there's no physical bypass from the turbo to the throttle body it has to go through the intercooler

Just means your always using the intercooler might affect warm up when the weather gets colder but doubt it will make much difference in my experience turbo engines work better in cold weather my subaru certainly does i even feel it in my clio when driving at night.

Have connected the two lots of cables together and tested the voltage to make sure

I now have different faults codes and engine management light on

Any ideas what else I can do

You cant just join stuff together and expect it to be happy !

As i already said i would look for the source of the oil and leave the dosers well alone if you had no faults then your dosers were fine
