Hello, I have a problem with my Peugeot 205 GR 1.4 (1991)
I think the water is boiling when the car is idling a while, and that made a big hole inn my expansion bottle :( The instrumentpanel did NOT show that the water was to hot.

May it be the electric cooling fan, thermoswitch or the cooling fan relay? I tried to connect the two wires on the cooling fan relay connector (see picture) but electric cooling fan still didn't start.

Any help would be helpful.

Take out the plug from the temperature sensor and then short out the 2 wires in the plug with a pin or a piece of wire. If the fans kick in when you have bridged them then it is the the temp switch witch has a fault. If they dont then there is either a fault with the wiring or the fan motor is done. Check this with the engine on,but obviously watch yourself on the fan blades and any engine parts that will heat up.
