Hi,
Just a bit a query about whether anyone thinks a new coolant sensor may be required or if it may be a gauge problem, or if it is normal or not.
The thing in question is the gauge never goes over the 90 degrees position, which on my gauge is vertical, The temp goes up normally until its at 90 but wont go past this no mater how long it idles or in slow traffic etc, but I know from having it on the diagbox, recorded temperatures have been higher up to 105 degrees, but have had no fans come on or any signs of boiling or steam, I'm just a bit puzzled by it.

Thanks for your reply,
maybe that's how they are normally.
Anyone else had there gauge go much higher or had fans come on particularly after long idle or in slow traffic?.

mine has never gone above 90 until recent issues with air intake hose
I think Im just going to put off replacing sensor and thermostat for now as its seems that's just how they are, until a problem like yours happens that is. and with no trouble codes showing and running ok generally, I will leave it until a problem becomes more obvious.
