Whilst my dealer is trying to sort out a jumping gearbox on my Peugeot 208 Allure 1.6 HDI 90 (see separate thread), they loaned me a Peugeot Bipper Teepee.

This is a very amusing little cube on wheels. Everything is big and chunky, and you could easily drive it wearing full mountaineering boots with crampons on. You'll get fit driving it too, because all the controls require effort. The 1.4-litre 8-valve diesel engine is very good at making noise (the unsilenced engine bay will have you deaf in one hour), but pulling the skin off a rice pudding is just beyond its capability. It's very much a Rock and Roll car, because you get plenty of both, and don't worry about speed humps since it just rumbles over them and you don't notice them. I love it, it's gorgeous.

Now if Peugeot bunged in the 1.6 HDI 90, plus a bit of felt padding and some underlay (and bluetooth, sat nav, DAB) well they'd win my vote - once the piggy 208 has been led away to slaughter for its misbehaving gearbox.
