now here is the problem! on the newest addition to our collection proudly a peugeot 405 mi16 we have hit a small barrier. to put it bluntly we cant find the oil fill cap. now on many of the cars we have worked on it would be located on top of the valve cover. to add insult to injury there are currently no peugeot friendly shops that we can find on the east coast. so any help on the matter would be very much appreciated.

Our motor doesnt seem to look like that?
the only thing in the front of our motor is the dipstick and a big cap that is connected to the air intake. on the motor you showed the air intake was in the rear, ours is in the front..

One other thing i have remembered about the MI16 engine is that the dipstick LIES,because the engine sits at an angle of 30 degrees you get a false impression of how much oil you have.:D

I recently got my 1987 505 STX with the ZN3J motor and I'm an american and when I went to look for the oil cap I was amazed to find that it's just like a thing you pull out it's not threaded at all. Maybe yours is the same concept?
