I've noticed a strange whistle, usually in the lower gears when I'm pulling away. Sounds exactly like this :- m.youtube.com/watch?v=fY1ocMtbRzk
Add https:// to the beginning of the youtube link, it won't let me use them yet...

The car runs just fine, took it for a long spin and it pulls in all gears and the turbo seems to work as intended. So, does this mean it's about to go pop, do I change it? Is it a vacuum leak somewhere? What happens if I just ignore it? Will I damage something else?

Thanks in advance.

Ps... Daft I know but..... Where is the turbo, I looked and couldn't see it.

Mine has exactly the same sound; reassuring me that the turbo is working.
Had a 406 for 5 years with the same sound; no probs on that.
(This is where I shoot myself in the foot :D)

Thats good to hear, from what i've read it seems pretty common. It cost me 500 notes so i'm not spending much out on it, so if she blows she blows.
