Hi, I have a 1991 205 Roland Garros and the stop light keeps coming on after we have been driving for a few minutes. The temp gauge is fine and there doesn't appear to be anything noticeably wrong with the car. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Graham.

Is there any other lights with it? I'm thinking brake fluid level, engine temperature sensor, radiator fan fault, coolant level? Although this is an old car so may not have some of these in place. I had a 306 diesel & stop light would flash when a/c was on as one engine fan was dead. Ecu knew it wasn't working even though car wasn't anywhere close to hot.

Stop light

Hi Ian, Thanks for the response. The temperature warning light sometimes comes on as well but the actual temp gauge is fine and sits bang in the middle as usual. I will give the items you mentioned below a check but if you have any other suggestions that would be appreciated.
