So, almost 2 months since I bought it, I'm still having problems with variable acceleration (car judders when maintaining steady speed), the car going into limp mode and Anti-Pollution Faults after having fixed the fuel cap sensor which went on my 2005 HDi 136.

A couple of weeks ago I went for a Planet session with zooankski and got some fault codes, but I've been both forgetful and ill since then so I'm just posting them now in the hope that someone can help.

In addition to the fault codes posted below, a local garage which the dealer is using to try and fix my car reckons it is one of four solenoids which (as I understand it) control air flow to and from the turbo. Apparently there is a test within Peugeot Planet that can diagnose which of these solenoids isn't working, but myself and zooankski couldn't find it in the maze of menus that is Planet - so if anyone knows about this test I would be grateful to hear from them.

So, without further ado, here are the fault codes we got:

P2562 - Permanent Fault. Turbo Position repeat signal, not enough turbocharging.

P0401 - Permanent Fault. EGR Circuit airflow measured higher than reference value.

P0490 - Permanent Fault. EGR Valve Circuit. Not enough EGR, EGR valve too closed in relation to reference value.

P0495 - Permanent Fault. Engine cooling function integrated into ECU coherence.

P0238 - Intermittent Fault. Turbo pressure sensor raw signal.

Note: I should mention that the EGR and Wastegate turbo valves are definitely functioning normally.

Any advice welcome, especially regarding solenoid tests.

faults

hi,,to cut a long story short you need.
a new turbo actuator(which is a lenghty set up procedure)
and an egr valve+latest download.
how do you know turbo + egr are functioning correctly???

what was the turbo repeat position,with koeo???
how did the turbo rep,pressure+reference value stack up on roadtest and recording graph parameters with planet??

Good lord. I have very little idea about any of what you just said, toddy2. I'm by no means an expert on this stuff, unfortunately. I don't have a clue about reference values and graph parameters, and I don't know what a turbo actuator is (or indeed a koeo?). If you can explain any of this in simpler language for a simple mind like mine that'd be handy.

I'm fairly certain the EGR is working because both the local (non-Peugeot) garage and a Peugeot Planet EGR test I did with zooankski confirmed that it is functioning normally... as far as we can tell.

...of course, I mean the EGR valve is working in a mechanical sense. If it's not being controlled by the ECU properly I guess that could be part of the problem. There are so many fault codes I just don't know where to begin and I don't have my own kit to read exact values. All I've got are fault codes and a head full of confusion.

hi,sorry i wasn't sure if zoo had done any roadtesting with you and left a printout..:)
koeo=key on,engine off...
its going to be very difficult without some tests/data.
but 2562 is a very well known fault on the turbo,causing incorrect turbo repeat position info fed to the ecu,in turn causing some weird actuation of egr and air flow.

Well, I think I'm going to take all this info to Peugeot in Cambridge and let them see what they find with their tests and bill the dealer for it. I'd love to investigate it more myself but just don't have the time!

hi All ,

just bought a 2nd hand peaugeot 207 , I have no faults coming up on the dash BUT most of the time when I start up hot or cold the revs are as high as 1600rpm , this stays there most of the times , BUT sometimes it just falls back to around 900rpm - 650rpm and feeling if though its goping to stall , when pulling away when the revs are high I don't even need to put my foot on the accelersator due to the high revs ?, any ideas , I have had a diagnostics but the car is not transmitting any info into the diagnostics unit

it drives fine when im over 2000rpm but when I slow down to around 1600 the car judders and i have to change down a gear also
the fuel consumption is terrible its only a 1360 and im getting les than 25mpg
