My 2005 307 HDI 90hp has developed an acceleration issue.

When you put your foot down it takes a while to reach any speed, as if it's a delayed reaction?

The car starts, idles and drives fine, other than the above issue, no black smoke when accelerating etc.

Just wondered if anyone else has had this issue and could possibly advise what it is??

Kind regards

Gareth

Most likely the MAF, could also be a stretched throttle cable (if you have one) or the mat stuck under the throttle pedal.

Disconnect the MAF and test, if you gain power the MAF is faulty. If nothing changes the MAF is also faulty. If it gets slower then the MAF was originally working.

Did what you said and it gained power/acceleration!

Ordered a new maf sensor today.

Thanks again for your advice!
