Hi , i'm new to this forum so bear with me .
I'm thinking of buying a 207 Alure for my Daughter and have a question .
It's a 2012 with 56k on the clock .I looked at the car and had it idling from cold and noticed a noise a bit like a hydraulic lifter not getting a full supply of oil .I drove the car a short distance and it drove fine ,when i got back to the dealers the noise had gone .Does anyone know if this is common or ,anything to worry about .I didnt want to buy the car with a fault that may get worse or ,(not having owned a Pug before ) be worried about nothing .
Any help / advice would be great.
Thanks Ray

there can be a ticking noise that comes in on tickover after about 10-20 seconds, its something to do with fuel save/emmisions (vti engine)

The noise is more of a cam type of noise which went once the car had reached its operating temp ,not a clicking noise. My worry was the damage that could be done until the car is warmed up.
