You will need an adapter cable to connect to the loom. The switched live for the head unit will likely be wired in the adapter so it connects with a BSI controlled live rather than the ignition switched live. This will result in the stereo staying on for a minute or so when you take the keys until the BSI goes into standby mode out but 'should' go offl when you lock the doors. There is usually an ignition switched live right next to the BSI switched live so swapping the wire over in the adpter cable will result in ot switching off with the ignition off but will allow you to use the radio without the engine running with the key in the accesory position.
If you want to keep the remote function then you need a head unit that is remote compatible and another adapter cable. You will lose the radio information on the display.
