Hello
i have a problem with my 407 ,2lt hdi .
i got new tyres on my car recently ,the problem is that befor the front ones were fitted i did not have a problem .
But now i have noticed that when i am parking my car and put full lock on the steering wheel to reverse into my drive ,i have a vibration or shudder through the steering wheel .
i am not sure what it is but it was not there before i got the tyres changed .
any one help me ?

could be your PAS pump. due to your tyres having more grip it may have to work harder to get full lock :thumb:

Maybe you just didnt notice it before? Mine has it, always had it. Guy at local garage told me thats something very common to 407, and is somewhat normal... was kind sceptical.

Mine does it if your turning hard but barely moving. Figured it just power steering judder pushing them big tyres around.

Mine does it also, again when driving really slow when turning in/out of spaces etc. Just one of those things.

Indeed! On early cars the pipes could become starved of fluid at their highest point, thus causing juddering. It's not harmful, doesn't affect the way the car drives, ignore it.
