Just purchased a 2004 307 2.0l hdi Xsi with 77K miles. Have followed the reset service spanner light instructions using the tripometer and the counter reaches 0. :)

Now when i turn the car on it shows 11900miles till next service, but when I actually start the car the spanner flashes 5 times and indicates -22500miles. I take this as it is 22500 miles overdue for service. The spanner remains. What am I doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciate.

I may be wrong but I think you have to keep the button pressed for around 5 or 10 seconds after it reaches 0 to reset. No doubt someone more experienced will give a definitive answer.

Had a 307 that wouldn't reset aswell as a Renault master. Both had been clocked , sorry the dashboard 'digitally repairing'

Not saying your's has , just my previous experience , only time I couldn't get a 307 to reset!
