Have had a phonecall from my dealer stating my car has to go back to them for a safety recall, wouldn't go into too much detail but did mention something to do with the cables going to the alternator. This is the fourth recall on my car now the 1st three i only found out about each time i booked it in for a service, these were for the adblu wiring loom, fuel coupling connector and the top tensioner pulley and auxiliary belt. Just wondered if anybody else has been contacted or had this safety recall regards alternator wiring done??

Think I maybe had the same recall earlier this summer. My dealer told me they had to check the routing of the cables for the starter. They had to verify that the cables was routed correct and that they did not have any mechanical wearing...

They also changed the tensioner for the alternator belt at the same recall.

That makes sense then, hopefully the cables on mine are fine and that'll be the end of it.

The cables was OK both for me and a colleagues car. So it seems they just want to check it...
