Hello any advice please
When I start the car the idle is around 1200 then goes down to about 700 but doesn't sound smooth when I drive and stop the idle is around 700 can rev up to 1200 drop down and sit at 700 or just cut out either when hot or cold also at around 80 it hesitates
Car has had new chain and vvts, new intake solenoid both o2 sensors replaced and temp sensor air filter and oil not because of this problem but the dreaded antipollution fault, I have no fault lights and no codes showing but not been scanned by Peugeot and advice would be great

i would tend to be looking at the throttle body/airleaks area. i would remove the throttle body and give it a good clean, i noticed book said to use a new gasket each time the body removed but tbh i never even noticed a gasket under it and have had the body off a few times.

use carb cleaner/ switch cleaner/ brake cleaner anything like that.

space is a little tight but there are 3 torx screws that hold the TB on, once you have pulled off all the air filter plastics, you may also need to squeese and pull pipe from the cam cover to move it out the way.

rev problems are often unmetered air getting in so check and clean everything.

you need to remove the whole air box, easy enough, filter out a couple of screws behind and a bolt in right air pipe if i remember. once out the whole box and pipes will just pull off its locating pegs.

TB is then on left rear of engine, remove the pipe going to the top then undo the three torx bolts and unplug the connector. Space is tight you will need a stubby 1/4 inch ratchet and small extension.
