Hi ya

Im new to the forum and am a new owner of a pug206 sport. however, after purchasing my car 3weeks ago, I now get a rather annoying beep when i make a right turn, especially round round-a-bouts. normal right turns are usually fine, but a large sweeping right turn causes something to beep and my handbrake light to flash. it beeps once but is very very annoying. i have a warranty on my car so i am taking it back to the garage next week for them to look at it, but they didnt seem to have a clue what it was when i told them about it. so thought id join up on this site and ask you guys

thanks in advance

Do you have a towbar and towing electrics?

Quite often there is a tell-tale beep when you are towing - I wonder if it is a wire shorting to ground that is part of that circuit. Check connectors in boot area if you have a towbar.

Do you recognise the beep ? is it normally a handbrake warning or lights-on warning.

I think it is a cable that is chafing on a piece of steel somewhere - causing the fault. See if you can repeat it by checking the handbrake switch and wiring, and moving them about to reproduce the fault and locate it.
