Hi!
Just wondering when is the best time to shift, like on how much revs?
I got 1.6 Rapier 2002 Petrol hatch
Wondering if I put my foot to the metal on first. or do high rev like 4-5k rev before shifting might break my gearbox or clutch up.

Cheers for the info and help! :D

P.S I got big exhaust that is why I wanna know :D

eco friendly before 2.5k, i managed to red line my diesel focus before an arrow illuminates and it beeps and the engine screams....but normally id say 3.5k-4k.

Surely you can feel when it goes a bit flat and no longer pulls? Change just before that if you want peak acceleration and maximum fuel wastage!

Short shift too early and your wasting fuel again, I'd figure around 2.5k in a petrol to avoid labouring too much.

Thanks for the help! :D

I was thinking going 5-6k revs before shifting might abuse the gearbox or the clutch and the engine itself.
