Hi all. Just a quickie. How easy is it to fit ESR to my 807. I have done some digging around and found the wires for the switch and in planet it says that the stability control bsi option is disabled. I checked on servicebox and it states that esr is 'no software'. On this forum for a 307 they say to check the yaw sensor is fitted and to check that the interface is fitted. The interface is checked by the esr light flashing on when you turn the ignition on. Mine does. Where will I find the yaw sensor on an 807 as service box doesnt really show me?

I've not seen it but the yaw sensor will be in the middle of the car somewhere. Could be quite a project as you will need the ABS/ESP ecu that is part of the ABS pump forward of the engine ecu as well as a new/sh comms with steering angle sensor.

Thanks for your reply. I will have a look under the center console under the gear change that seems a likly location. I was concidering enabling the bsi and seeing what it threw back as missing I could then disable and clear the faults. Is there a different interface for ABS and ESR or is it a shared one?

It's likely you will need to change the COMMS unit as well as ESR requires steering angle sensor.

if the light comes on for ESR/TC on startup it maybe that your car has it fitted they deleted the the traction control override button on later models so it can look likes its not fitted when it is as its integrated into TC function of ABS ECU.

Have you checked on service box on vehicle specific details that it is not fitted sometimes Diagbox review of BSI/ECU'S can give false impressions as sometime functions are shown as absent because the function is integrated into other functions dependent on vehicle spec.

Check what is configured in abs

Hi guys. I was just checking on servicebox and as long as whats fitted is accurate to SB then I would need a COMM2000 unit 6242 c5 (currently 6242 c3) and a ABS pump 4541 C5 (currently 4541 58). The pumps are readily available for not much money but the COMM2000 units with that part number are hard to locate for a reasonable amount of cash. SB list the yaw sensor as fitted so I shouldnt need to fit that. Im beginning to think this is not a worthwhile venture.

Anybody on here find any benefits from using ESR? I tow with my 807 and was hopeing it may be of benefit.

In theory ESP sounds great but probably of little benefit to most drivers because the cars are driven at modest speeds. Sounds it might help when towing, I can remember quite a few scary moments when braking with dad's speedboat behind. The odd thing is I never had the same problem when driving artics, despite the greatly increased size they are much more stable because the towing axis being in front of the driving axle.
