Dear all,

I hope you can help me.

I have a Peugeot 208 1.4 e-Hdi

The ecu has a counter, which alerts to replace the ancillary belt.

The belt has been replaced but I need to reset the counter on the ECU.

This is not a general fault code which can be reset.

Does anyone know how to reset the counter?

Thanks in advance.

It will be in replacement parts not in faults or clear faults

You simply tell it it has a new one just like new DPF or refilled fluids never done it myself but will be there somewhere

Thanks for your reply - I really appreciate it.

When you say it will be in replacement parts, do you mean using a specific diagnostics software?

Do you have any suggestions on which software can do this?

Thanks.

You will need Diagbox and the associated lexia interface cable, preferable with 'c' firmware. Lots of info all over this forum about it. Peugeot Planet is the older version of the software and I don't think it will work for clearing this counter.

Thank you very much.

I have just been having a read through some information on Diagbox and PP.

I couldn’t find exactly what the latest version of Diagbox is?

What is the recommended laptop operating system?

What the lexia 3 interface looks like, if it’s possible to buy a cheap clone, and where it plugs in (eg. OBD port)?
