i bought a rear wheel arch liner this morning, and it almost fitted my 307sw.

(sorry james i got your message after i left - but thanks very much for the part numbers)

i needed it fitting fast as i was having new tyres fitted today, or i would have waited.

the problem is - the tyre fitter offered to fit it, and because of it being the wrong one he has tried to "squeeze" on the new wheel arch liner and has snapped one of the bolts on the car chassis.

there are 2 of them that secure the rear wheel arch liners.

i am very picky about this and want it to be as its meant to be.

is there a way of getting a bolt to stick back out of the chassis - like a headless self tapping bolt sort of thing ?

i dont want to have to screw the liner "into" the chassis - i want to replicate the original design and have 2 bolts sticking out.

would it be easier to drill a hole where the bolt was and just use one of the plastic clips to secure it like the rest ?

cheers

the 2 rear wheel arch liners are also bolted on - 2 x 5mm bolts on each side - thats what got broken.

getting it welded friday anyway.
